the firefighters who lost their lives
during the New York World Trade
Center Terrorist Attack
September 11, 2001.
This painting is my conception of
the grief felt by weary firefighters
as they realized the enormous
loss of their brothers. If you look
closely, the message "we Honor
You" is written in the building, and
doves are seen in the smoke.
And something happened beyond
my control, after the painting was
complete, someone noticed that a
firefighter is seen ascending from
the building, which I did not plan
or paint.
